Each Day Fortune Gave Me.
This autobiography was published in a limited run of 300 copies for Ron Rayner of Brightlingsea, Essex. Ron (no relation to our Rayners) approached us when the text was complete, but he wanted it tidied up and the book laid out and printed. Each Day Fortune Gave Me tells Ron's story from infant school in Colchester, through work in a foundry, war service and a teaching career, to becoming Deputy of his home town, a limb of the Cinque Ports. The book includes a Rayner family tree back to the 1700s.
Available via Birch Leaf Editorial Services. Colchester library has a copy in its reference section. ISBN 978-0-9564677-0-6. Ron Rayner is pictured, right.
